Welcome to Living StreamsA Place to Meet

In June of 2008, the Streamers began praying and asking God for an open door in the community of Mt. Comfort/McCordsville. One of the obstacles facing a new church is a place to meet. This new community is growing with a number of new retail, commercial and residential developments. The only problem was everything is very expensive.

Not a problem for God though. Pastor Greg’s parents were driving through McCordsville one evening and noticed a white building sitting in an open field full of grass. Greg’s Mom told him about it and he checked it out. The building was used as a pro-shop/clubhouse for a driving range and par 3 golf course. The property had been sold to the Meijer Corporation for the future construction of a Meijer grocery store. After a few email contacts, Pastor Greg received an offer to lease the building rent-free in exchange for maintenance and upkeep of the grounds!

Come worship with usOn Sunday, September 28, 2008, the Streamers moved into the building after it had been cleaned and minor repair and renovation done. God has answered the prayers of His people with a place to meet in the middle of a bustling community of people. The “Meijer Miracle Building” is now a church and since opening the doors to the community on October 12, 2008, God has provided for every need.

The Lord has answered prayers for new people, drawing around 100 (and growing), to worship together on Sunday. A building remodel took place in the summer of 2009 and that allowed for more worship space and more people. In 2011, the Streamers took their biggest step of faith and added on 1600 sq ft. of building, along with a new classroom for kids. Since the church doesn’t own the building, our hope is in God, that He use this place for our good and His glory while this new church gains strength and lays a solid foundation to find a permanent home in this community.
